Aiming to rescue a declining number of Marathi medium schools, three organisations along with management of Marathi schools and parents of students studying in Marathi medium schools have come together to fight what they allegedly call the state's "discriminatory policy" against these schools. Activists, teachers and school owners will gather on Sunday to discuss their course of action against the government and local civic body for turning a blind eye to the Marathi medium schools which have already shut while many that are on the verge of shutting down because of recent policies of the government.
